Assembly Rooms

One of Edinburgh's largest, multi-use venues, the Assembly Rooms is located on George Street, a short walk from the train station, the Scott Monument and the Castle.

Throughout its years as a venue, the Assembly Rooms has seen two world wars, hosted celebrity and royalty alike and striven for excellence in the arts.

A big development in 2012 means that the Georgian building's rooms are modern, while still maintaining their historic roots. The main rooms are the Ballroom, The Music Hall, The Drawing Rooms and the Crush Hall.
