A Wall Is a Screen: Leith

Free, guided short film walk with site-specific outdoor screenings. A Wall Is a Screen will take you on a secret tour of Leith, via the medium of short film screened at a variety of locations. Place-based project Leith Creative is delighted to host Hamburg-based short film collective A Wall Is a Screen, for a special Leith edition of their promenade film events that have taken place across the world. Join us for their very first Edinburgh event – taking place in Leith this August! This event is supported by Festival 2018 part of Glasgow 2018, Leith Chooses and Film Hub Scotland.

All films screened as part of the A Wall Is A Screen event will be family-friendly. (Please note the start time of 9.30pm might not necessarily be suitable for younger children.)

The event is a combination of city walking tour and themed film event, so some mobility will be necessary between each location. There may be points where the A Wall Is A Screen route is inaccessible to wheelchair users. If this is the case, our stewards will provide detour guidance.
