Henry Paker: Classic Paker

For the newly engaged Paker, life is looking pretty good at the moment, and while he's clearly quite a chirpy and optimistic gentleman (understandably so), the warm and welcoming comedian is not without his fair share of often trivial complaints. He warns us about everything from the extortionate price of cushions these days to the pitfalls of getting too comfortable in a relationship, opening the show with a series of relatable romance gags.

You would be forgiven for thinking Henry could be in the midst of an early mid-life crisis upon hearing that nothing seems to rile him up more than overpriced pine nuts and the fact that he recently felt threatened by a 23-year-old male Tango dancer. Paker moves on to his hair situation, or rather, lack thereof, in an attempt to enlighten us about the trials and tribulations that bald men face on a daily basis, however this material seems a little tired.

He rounds up his set on a very funny note, but this is not classic high-standard Henry Paker material.
