A man keen to escape a past that’s slowly revealed to us moves to a new town and starts a restaurant business. A girl becomes interested, but her brother, knowing more than she, becomes the source of conflict. Nick Payne’s play shows great potential in places, particularly late on, but not all the comedy works. Still, it’s pretty well acted and has the courage to explore some uncomfortable corners of our culture. (Steve Cramer)
