Here’s another show whose description sounds more like a warning than marketing but, heavens to Betsy, it’s brilliant fun. Comedy trio Piggy Nero perform a spoof bawdy musical in which a pretty Victorian debutante heads for Tibet to live with her betrothed. Along the way we get some fantastically silly songs (with incongruously employed swearwords going down a treat), clever prop tricks and ridiculous dancing (the ‘accidental’ escape of a single testicle is my Fringe highlight).
This trio of Clare Thomson, Mat Baynton and Jamie Glassman are among the most naturally funny and talented people in town this month, so the occasional lack of visibility for those more than four rows back is quickly forgiven. Their comedy skills and utter lack of vanity (stay away if you’re shy about skimpy briefs) make this show a winner. (Ashley Davies)
