Lady Chatterley’s Lover

Based on DH Lawrence’s novel, this new production of Lady Chatterley’s Lover transports the story to Thatcherite Britain, in the midst of the minor’s strike. Through the explicit portrayal of Connie and Mellor’s love affair, this play is bound to stir controversy, and detracts from some of the more interesting parallels drawn between the original context of the novel, and the politics of the 1980s.
