Psychologiccal horror (Pål Sletaune, Norway, 2005) 75min
Do we really need David Lynch to meet Paul Auster in a lush, nightmarish Norwegian setting? Well, not when it comes up with such a brutal yet banal ending as this one.
After an acrimonious split with his girlfriend, John (Kristoffer Joner) is having trouble with his female neighbours, what with them drawing him into their surreal sexual world and all. Trapped in their flat, the line between the real and the imaginary becomes ever more blurred. For the viewer, however, the divide between caring and not caring is yet sharper. (Brian Donaldson)
