This article is from 2006.

This is a jolly romp through the conventions of the country house murder mystery. The action is fast and farcical, the dialogue a successful parody of Agatha Christie, including some pleasantly surreal touches, as when the Colonel’s dog, Tiny, is seriously considered as a suspect. The Butler Did It is not, and doesn’t claim to be, at the cutting edge of contemporary drama, but it provides a very pleasant opportunity to relax the little grey cells for an hour. (Minnie Scott)
