Neil Edmond: Knocker

  • 11 August 2006

This article is from 2006.

There is no denying that Knocker has some great conceits and precepts behind it but there is just something about this show that leaves it flat. It would be easy to blame Edmond himself for this failing but he is almost flawless as the deadpan door-stepper who prickles with silent rage. Instead, the real problem lies with the timing of the show, as it just seems too big for 60 minutes. By the time the lights go up the audience have had a few laughs but are no further into understanding the psychology of the chronic surveyor, which seemed like the original point of this expedition.
