Frank & Ella

Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald? Not a bad line up, that. But no - sadly, those two greats haven’t been resurrected in person. Instead, Jacqui Dankworth and Todd Gordon (no prizes for guessing who is who) will pay tribute to the vast and unsurpassable musical legacy of these two American legends.

It’s not exactly a new idea, and Edinburgh-based Gordon has quite a few Sinatra-themed shows under his belt, but the classic songs they will trot out always merit another airing, and their affection for the material is palpable. Dankworth, of course, comes with an impressive pedigree of her own in UK jazz (mum and dad are John Dankworth and Cleo Laine), and she and Todd have worked together before, including a Valentine concert earlier this year.
