This is presented as a short film rather than a theatre piece. The writing is accomplished, with dialogue, visuals, actions andreactions of the characters all combining well.
It’s based upon a real historical event when two ladies duelled with pistols and swords to settle an argument. Thanks to Pride and Prejudice, this is not what we expect from women of that era and this gives the story an extra layer of interest.
This company are committed to presenting stories involving strong women heroines who also engage in physical combat. It’s well written, filmed in a stunning location in Suffolk and engages and surprises in equal measure. (Alistair Rutherford)
