Billed as ‘a play about apples’, Crunch combines apple-themed fairytales, historical events and fruity facts to create a gentle but enjoyable late morning show. It’s loosely based around an updated story of Adam and Eve, and some of the apple references seem a little forced and disjointed, but there is a nice efficiency in the way that the ideas (the theory of gravity, for instance) are acted out on stage - and some clever details.
