The thin line between pleasingly silly and wilfully nonsensical is tiptoed along by Oliver Maltman throughout this hour. Rare is it that of the various characters here, some can raise barely a titter and others are genuinely hysterical. Particular favourite here is the woolly academic whose accent lurches from plummy to scummy often within the same syllable. Maltman has a manic talent that could work with some steering.
