Jeff Innocent’s demeanour is endearing and his theme - trying to lead an ecologically compassionate life - ethically unimpeachable. But using comedy to serve a ‘higher’ calling too often ends up plummeting between two stools: neither hugely funny nor particularly thought-provoking. Which is a shame really, as many of his one-liners would, in other contexts, be pretty punchy. (Sam Healy)
