Gary Le Strange
This article is from 2006.
Gary Le Strange’s act is, predictably, bizarre but not perhaps in the manner intended. After an oddly stilted opening, he launches into his new album. The laughs are often disappointingly cheap, with occasional brilliant flashes, such as the epic Day of the Maggots, belted out with Bowie-esque vigour. The result is an entertaining show choked by lazy writing.
