Vast though the UdderBELLY cow is, it’s only just large enough to contain the combined talent of the ZooNation dancers. The 20-strong London streetdance company combines energetic dancing with astute characterisation and slick comic timing.

Based on Stephen Sondheim’s fairytale musical, Into The Woods, the show opens with a short film set on the Ruff Endz Estate. The occupants of which have a few problems to solve. Spinderella needs to escape her man-eating stepmum and sisters, Lil Red wants to be a pop star, Rap-on-zel has been locked up by her over-protective dad and Jaxx in the basement can’t pay his rent. While Wolf and Prince just want to get jiggy with the ladies and make some fast cash.

The cast of professional dancers is joined by a handful of cute kids with streetdance already coursing through their veins. Between them they dance to a soundtrack which jumps from full-on hip hop to cheesy pop, each song perfectly chosen for atmospheric or comic effect. (Kelly Apter)
