If you happen to be at one of Frank Skinner’s shows and spot a tear welling up in the corner of his eye, don’t be too surprised. For, back in 1991, the Midlands comic performed in the very same room of the Pleasance Courtyard on his way to scooping the Perrier Award. Whether the same stand-up magic will be there is another question, but one thing’s for sure: it’ll be very rude indeed.
Pleasance Courtyard, 556 6550, 13–27 Aug, 8pm, £11.50–£12.50 (£10–£11).
