Havers and Blethers brings new spoken-word show to Edinburgh

Andrew C. Ferguson performs at Havers and Blethers

One of the great things about this time of year is the number of off-Fringe festivals that spring up, like this daily spoken-word-based show, hosted by Kirsty-Jacqueline Lingard and featuring writers, poets, actors and musicians performing short snippets from their works. There are free acoustic folk sessions every night after the show.

Captains Bar, 4 South College Street, 668 2312, until Sat 21 Aug, 7.30–8.30pm, Free.

Havers and Blethers

A spoken word show where performers get just five minutes to show off their talents, interspersed with live traditional music. Among the authors showing off their specially-written festive words are Gavin Inglis, Rosie Bell, Andrew Ferguson and Juliet Wilson.
