A Fistful of Snow (3 stars)

This article is from 2009.

Danny Alder plays Chester James, a writer who has inexplicably ended up in Svalbard guarding the world seed bank, paralysed by the success of his first novel, and with only an inflatable moose, a pompous budgie and a hungry polar bear for company. It’s not sophisticated or slick, but there are some hilarious moments thanks to its immensely likeable lead actor.

Fistful of Snow

Author Chester James is alone is Svalbard. Hoping to write something to eclipse his success, 'The Nullarbor Gunslinger', he sits guarding a vault of seeds and a talking moose. Humour with an emotional core. **** (FringeReview.co.uk). www.castlesintheskyproductions.co.uk
