I Am Robert Mugabe/Requiem for Robert Mugabe

Where last year’s Fringe attracted a flurry of plays based around one Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, this year you can’t move for shows about a certain Zimbabwean dictator. I Am Robert Mugabe imagines a future in which the tyrant is on trial for crimes against humanity, while Requiem for Robert Mugabe satirises his journey to power.

I Am Robert Mugabe, The Space @ Jury’s Inn, 556 0476,18–23 Aug, 10.45am; Requiem for Robert Mugabe, The Space @ The Thistle, 556 0476, 18–23 Aug, 2.10pm.
