Max & Ivan: Commitment

A duo determined to go the extra mile for daftness
A pair of likeable plonkers goof about for your entertainment in this hyper-tale of male friendship and failed dreams. Ivan drops some of his least logical lines with the wide-eyed innocence of Brick from Anchorman, and Max doesn't miss a beat before coming back with an embarrassed put-down every time his try-hard friend opens his mouth.
Commitment tells the story of Max preparing an unforgettable night out for Ivan's stag do, but detours much further back into both comedians' shady pasts. Max, or 'Max Voltage' to give him his full stage name, had a childhood WrestleMania phase and there are photos of him looking menacing in Lycra to prove it. Meanwhile, Ivan was in various unsuccessful bands, occasionally wading into politically incorrect genres without realising.
The recurring themes seem to be Ivan's unwavering determination to embarrassing himself and Max's determination to 'dream big'. Both succeed (the ending is a preposterous twist, so no spoilers for that), but whether Ivan's batch of new catchphrases and rhyming slang will ever catch on remains to be seen. A slide show of wonky animated effects and mocked-up emails reveals their incredible commitment to following through on a plan, however daft.
