A busy interactive show featuring sausages and songs

Foxdog Studios are IT consultants by day and comedy-musical innovators by night, merrily bringing us another hour of interactive fun. The show relies heavily on audience participation; but don't worry, actual human interaction is kept to a minimum as the Foxdog guys (Pete Sutton and Lloyd Henning) have crafted an elaborate set of games, quizzes and songs which rely on the gathering to stare at their phones for most of the set.

It's a unique concept, and there's nothing else quite like it on the comedy circuit at the moment. Sutton and Henning are both deadpan in their comedic delivery, to the point that it's hard to tell whether mishaps are part of the show or genuine technical issues. From an audience-powered onscreen quest to collect as much coffee as possible, to shooting sausages onto Mars, the focus is on having a good time.

Although the show isn't always laugh-out-loud funny, both the crowd and the Foxdog duo do seem to be having a lot of fun, no more so than during their Tenacious D-inspired musical interludes. There's maybe too much going on, though, and Foxdog Studios could benefit from focusing on doing just one thing really well.

Heroes @ The Hive, until 25 Aug, 5pm, £5 in advance or donations at the venue.
