High octane acrobatics and moving storytelling collide in the circus programme at this year's Fringe. Guaranteed to keep you at the edge of your seat, explore the heights of physicality, movement and artistry in this most physically demanding of art forms, located just south of Edinburgh's city centre.
Showcasing the finest in traditional circus thrills and skills, Cirque Berserk! combine contemporary cirque-style artistry with adrenaline-fuelled stunt action, bringing this treasured form of live entertainment bang up-to-date. The international troupe includes over 30 acrobats, aerialists, dancers, drummers and daredevil stuntmen, alongside the world's most hair-raising circus act; the legendary motorcycle Globe of Death.

Everything I See I Swallow
Shasha and Taylor Productions
A provocative examination of a mother/daughter relationship, set against a backdrop of shifting attitudes to empowerment, feminism and sexuality. How does a woman defend the objectification of her own body and the gaze from those around her? Fusing theatre and aerial rope work with the erotic art of Japanese rope bondage, shibari, Swallow is an unusual and compelling encounter.
Everything I See I Swallow, Summerhall – Demonstration Room, Sat 3–Sat 25 Aug (not 12, 19), 6pm, £13 (£11). Previews Wed 31 Jul, £5 & Fri 2 Aug, £8.
Join Circumference for their latest theatrical spectacle, Staged. Featuring three performers on an aerial platform as precarious as our perceptions – a single action changes everything, but everything is not always what it seems.
Staged, ZOO Southside, Thu 15–Sun 25 Aug, 7pm, £12 (£10). Previews Tue 13 & Wed 14 Aug, £8.
