During the Second World War, France was ruled by a collaborationist government based in the town of Vichy. Leading Scottish journalist and novelist Allan Massie has written several books about it and the shadow it has cast over French public life. Massie will draw from his new novel, Dark Summer in Bordeaux, and a reprint of his classic novel A Question of Loyalties. Chaired by Allan Little. Part of Edinburgh International Book Festival
