On September 12th 2001 Waverley is waiting for her blind date, but she's distracted by recent tragic events. This is the setting of an extraordinary play about the question - are we in control of our lives? Far removed from politics, Waverley and her date Andrew are faced with the personal drama of her sister's possible death in the Twin Towers. Things do not get any easier when Joyce Carol Oates comes to visit - as a sockpuppet! Funny, fast and touching the absurd, this play offers a unique take on existential questions of chance and self-determination. Ages 14+.
