7,200 yellow rubber ducks fall into the ocean, spreading like confetti. This inventive ensemble piece combines an original score of music, bold imagery and imaginative storytelling. Inspired by true events, Plastic Beach follows the story of Ebbis, a lonely beachcomber who devotes his life to tracking where these friendly floatees have come to shore. Distressed office chairs, ageing hat stands and tired old trainers meld together to form a compelling, heart-warming tale that explores how one person can become so wrapped up in an obsession that he loses touch with the other pieces that make up his life. Ages 12+.
