Peter Straker's Brel (4 stars)

This listing is from a previous year.  Search for current listings.

Award-winning legend Peter Straker pays homage to brilliant songwriter Jacques Brel; a show spanning Brel's life, incorporating his best known songs. Many great artists cover Brel but none match the passion of Straker, whose interpretations of Jacky, Amsterdam, If You Go Away, When We Only Have Love, are simply outstanding. Straker has been at the forefront of the British music/theatre scene for decades, from recordings produced by Freddie Mercury to the original Phantom of the Opera. His previous Edinburgh performances have won five star reviews. This is the definitive tribute to Brel by the ultimate showman Straker. All ages.
