The Music of Friends present two concerts. Bach at Tea Time. Relax in the intimate serenity of three contrasting solo works by JS Bach, performed by Edinburgh-based musicians. Tim Paxton performs Cello Suite No.1 in D minor, Helen Buckmayer the Piano Partita No.1 in B flat and Hector Scott the Solo Violin Sonata No.1 in G major. Then the Waverley Quartet, Fiona Murdock (violin), Elspeth Luke (violin), Julian Marshall (viola), and Tim Paxton (cello), perform Martinu's dark, searing and intense Quartet No.5 and Dvorak's magnificent Op.106, his last piece of music. All ages.
