The Band has been delighting Fringe audiences to great acclaim every year since 1973 - our 40th set of concerts will be one of our jewels. Our 14-strong group uses a staggering variety of period instruments and we are joined for some pieces by the Edinburgh Early Dancers and the Shropshire dance group Polyhymnia. With favourite gems from our huge repertoire of mediaeval and renaissance music - with special attention to Gabrieli's and Hassler's anniversaries - and lively and enthusiastic presentation by director Murray Campbell, this show is for all ages, devotees and newcomers alike.
