Jump to reviews or comments

Funky Fairies fight with plastic bottles and spatulas on a 'psychedelic' rubbish dump. When they are not fighting they dabble in drugs of purple potions to make unsuspecting people fall in love with the first person they see. Titania, who enjoys luxurating in her bubble bath, also falls under the influence of purple passion, when Oberon and his cheeky servant, Puck, contrive to make her fall in love with a rat.

The play mixes Shakespeare with dance, mime, music and visual effects and is performed by professionally trained actors with learning disabilities.

The music has been composed by Music Technology students from Stourbridge College, West Midlands.

The company is celebrating its 15th year and has performed in Sweden, Prague and several times at the Edinburgh Fringe, winning Best Musical on the Fringe (Fringe Report for The Bird, 2008).
