Brand new Cambridge-based theatre company 'work. Theatre' presents the world premiere of Anna. at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
It is the modern day in a dingy city flat with three inhabitants: a young man and two young women, one of whom is missing: Anna. Outside, the city has seen two prostitutes killed in the past week. Set within a 24-hour time frame, the action cuts back and forth from the evening to the daytime, gradually revealing the truth behind the girl's disappearance and the secrets she has been keeping from her flatmates. Anna. is a contemporary drama about a girl who has gone missing.
‘work. Theatre’ is a new company formed by three young artists creating raw new work with cutting-edge style. The play's writer, Tom Ratcliffe, making his literary bow, is a founding member of the company, which is completed by Jennifer Todd and Gabriella Moran.
