Turandot

Turandot

Puccini finds himself cast as an eccentric millionaire in the story of Chinese princess Turandot. Deaf and non-verbal performers and a choir create an opera for deaf people, inspired by the original, unfinished opera, Puccini's letters and William Burrough's Naked Lunch. 'A blurring of the border between antique tragedy and psychodrama' (Lublin Polish Courier), 'Scenes from the last weeks of Puccini's life wound up with the vision of the emporium of cruelty. Fragments of arias sung by actors accompany the action and parts of operas are played and mixed live by directors'. (Twice-Weekly Poland). Co-produced by www.grupacoincidentia.pl
