Just fifteen players from the Auricle Ensemble come together to perform a stripped-back version of Mahler's Symphony No 4 and Songs of a Travelling Wayfarer, as well as Debussy's Prélude à L'après midi d'un faune.
Soprano Alexa Mason (ENO) joins just 15 Auricle players to perform Mahler's Songs of a Travelling Wayfarer and Fourth Symphony (with live surtitles) and Debussy's tranquil masterpiece 'Prelude l'apres midi d'un faune'. These three exquisite reductions form part of Auricle's two-year Mini-Mahler series, in which they are performing all of the available Mahler arrangements made for Schoenberg's Private Music Society in early 1920s Vienna.
