Love him or hate him – and, let’s face it, no one really finds themselves in that safe middle ground here – there’s no doubting Jimmy Carr’s ability to write and deliver a cutting set-up and punchline. Whether Joke Technician will include some typically borderline offensive material remains to be seen, but if the 8 Out of 10 Cats host is doing his job properly, there’ll be outrage aplenty.
